Our business from the Italian market has increased rapidly, and we are seeing a strong appetite from Italian clients to establish UK companies. I was travelling extensively between our Bristol UK head office and Milan to meet clients and prospects but having a base in Milan makes it much easier to do business. Our clients need a quick response, and being on hand at the right time results in faster transactions. Considering our Italian business is continually moving forward, the time had come to put the foundations in place for additional future growth.
In order to celebrate we held an exclusive evening aperitif at the prestigious Triennale art gallery in Milan. With the help of Aaron Pugliesi from "easy Milano" and our marketing team headed by Deborah Sutton, we had a very successful evening. Our CEO, Nick Rees together with the Director and Principal of Jordans Trust Company Martin Palmer, and Deborah Sutton, flew in for the event.
This is an exciting time for us as I have also been elected a councillor for the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy, and look forward to increasing my collaboration with them.
As you all know, the UK voted for Brexit but despite this I am positive the UK will continue to be an international financial centre and an international corporate domicile on account of its historic importance in these areas. I am confident the UK will maintain its essential attributes such as reliability and independence of the courts, company law, professional and financial sector expertise and last but not least low corporate tax rates – which are likely to reduce further, and will amend its legislation to make its corporate and financial sector even more competitive, free of EU restraints.
That said, I hope to be able to welcome you to our new offices in Milan.
