Tax Exemption

BVI Companies and BVI Tax Exemption

Do you have a question? Ask Jason

Under statute law in the BVI, a BVI company is exempt from all taxes provided for under the Income Tax Ordinance.

All dividends, interest, royalties, compensations and other amounts paid by a company and capital gains realised from shares, debt obligations or other securities of a company are not taxed in the BVI when received by a BVI business company.

BVI companies are also free from estate, inheritance, and succession or gift taxes in respect of their shares, debt obligations or other securities.

Furthermore, BVI business companies are exempt from BVI stamp duty in respect of all instruments transferring property or shares to or from the BVI company (assuming the property is situated outside the BVI).
