Speaking at the INTAX event last September 2014

Jordans Trust Company Ltd and our professionals participate and speak at many seminars/briefings across the globe. Here are just some of them.

Business BVI Asia - 11th September

On 11th September we attended the inaugural Business BVI Conference in Hong Kong. Titled "Pivoting to Asia, The Pathway to New Opportunities" a group of 120 leading industry experts debated the BVI's continuing role in Asia and the remarkable growth in the Chinese economy. Speakers included BVI Premier and Minister for Finance Dr Orlando Smith, Robert Mathavious, CEO of the BVI Financial Services Commission and Justice Edward Bannister QC and Commercial Court Judge of the BVI . Many aspects of the BVI were covered, from regulation, the BVI connection with Hong Kong, intellectual property and aircraft and ship registration. The BVI is commercially deeply ingrained in Asia, and the local Hong Kong presence of BVI House Asia and events such as this, provide unrivalled support for the BVI financial services industry in the region.

INTAX Expo Russia - 22nd & 23rd September

We took part in INTAX Wealth conference in Moscow, where we were exhibitors and speakers. Our director and principal, Martin Palmer, delivered a presentation concerning the proposed draft of legislation, introducing the public register of beneficial ownership of companies in the UK (Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Bill). For obvious reasons this topic is a very relevant and talked about one and Martin's presentation attracted a lot of attention.

STEP Asia Conference - 8th October

In October two members of the Jordans Trust team- John Swann and Stefano Iacono, attended the annual STEP Asia conference in Hong Kong. It was a busy two days with 440 delegates and a packed schedule of very informative and thought provoking lectures. Once again, an excellent event we were very proud to support.

Italy Seminar - 14th October

This event was held on Tuesday 14th October partly to coincide with the recent launch of Jordans' Italian Desk at the Grand Hotel et de Milan. The seminar, held in Italian and English, was a collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy and explored ‘The advantages of the UK as a corporate domicile for Italian nationals and corporates.' It turned out to be a very positive and successful event.

Cyprus Drinks Reception – 23rd October

We held our annual drinks reception on the beautiful Island of Cyprus. These events have become something of a regular and welcome fixture on our annual calendar. Together with our seminars and visit programs they provide an excellent networking opportunity, in a relaxed and friendly environment. This year's Reception, hosted by Jordans Trust Company (Cyprus) Ltd, Managing Director Richard Melton, gave us the opportunity to introduce our friends and associates to Jenny Gontier, Managing Director from our Seychelles office, who had flown over especially for the event.

London Christmas Drinks Reception – 4th December

Our annual Christmas Drinks reception was held at the  Institute Of Directors on Pall Mall, London. It was a pleasure to see so many of our friends there. Coinciding with the Chancellor's autumn statement, we appreciated that many of those with property transactions in progress were exceptionally busy and we appreciated the effort made to celebrate the festive season with us.
